DESK TOP PUBLISHER
A desk top publisher is a powerful version of a word processor that is used to make elaborate layouts of documents for publication into such things as books, magazines, leaflets, posters. They use "frames" to position text and picture boxes anywhere on the pages. Their editing facilities are more limited than in word processors.
Example Programs: Microsoft Publisher, Serif Page Plus, Adobe InDesign, Quark Xpress.
