Mr Hanson is the Head of ICT and has been at Warlingham School for 6 years. Before that he taught in central London for four. Mr Hanson emigrated from Australia in 1995. He also taught in Australia in a secondary school in Queensland and a Further Education College in New South Wales. He has a Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Queensland University of Technology), and a Master of Arts in ICT (Institute of Education, University of London). Recent certifications include completion of Leading from the Middle program from the National College of School Leadership, and completion of the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence). His interests include curriculum development and studies into how positive attitudes towards computers can translate into learning and attainment. Mr Hanson is considering further studies.
Mr Hanson is skeptical about the use of many Interactive Learning Systems & Technologies (programs and many other computerised devices flogged to schools, that attempt to instruct on how to use software, such as spreadsheets), because current research shows that these environments are very context specific and condition users to certain ways of thinking. Users can have difficulty working outside of these highly structured environments. Whilst they may contribute to motivation, there are not as yet proven links to attainment and skills development.

This website was made using Serif Page Plus v 9. Let’s not waste our time with fancy coding here!
This is rather good introductory level web page building software.
Hey do I get a free t-shirt for this free advertisement, Mr Serif?
The site is hosted by Easyspace.
Another recommendation! If something is good, then spread the word. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising. No, I don't get a cut from either of these companies.
